"Lydia was fabulous to work with. She answered all my questions promptly and made me feel very comfortable. Her prices are very reasonable. She helped accommodate a special request that made all the difference. I recommend her services."

Elegant and succinct

Lydia Jones

Lydia started her career at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, California. She eventually became a professor and museum director herself.  When she learned that a friend was teaching indexing courses for UC Berkeley, another passion was born. She launched Add An Index in 2012 after a rewarding career in education and museum administration.

Indexing is a lot like working with a museum collection. An author's ideas are like a museum's material objects.  As an indexer, it's my privilege to contemplate those ideas and then organize and present them in the most elegant, most succinct way possible so that readers and researchers can access them at will.
